relationship marketing strategy

Couple of weeks ago we talked about the importance of creating creative titles for email marketing campaigns. Now we are going to talk about building a relationship marketing strategy in online businesses. So let's start!

We all know how important it is to keep a good relationship with our customers in order to increase sales. Nowadays, it looks like companies all over the world go even one step forward and focus on creating a recurring revenue and a long-term engagement with their customers! If you run a business, you probably know, that it's not enough to sell something. As a business you should be interested in retaining and winning customers! The best way to achieve this is to communicate with them.

The main idea of the relationship marketing strategy is to keep a constant contact with customers by offering them help, give the necessary information on our products/services and answering questions. By doing so, you will establish a long term relationship with your customers and foster their loyalty.

We can assume that the “Relationship marketing” is used to develop strong connections with customers by promoting open communication.

It's a fact that in general companies focused on relationship with their audience tend to have better results, as they maintain clients who regularly purchase their products or services. Let's look at: Coca-Cola. Have you ever seen any ad of Coca-Cola that would actually encourage to buy the product? No, Never! Coca-Cola focuses its actions on presenting a happiness, friendship, wellness to its target audience. And this is called: “Relationship” - bringing the feeling of the brand is the best way possible to get closer to the customers and communicate with them.

  • Let's think how to start the relationship marketing strategy in business

Think about your customers as an opportunity for a long relationship, from which you will be able to benefit by selling various products/services more than once. Do you want people to come back to you? If so, it means that you want happy customers. Happy customers will buy more from you and also tell more people about you.

Follow these 3 steps to build a long lasting relationship with your customers: acquisation, retention, loyalty and do not forget about keeping in touch with your customers after selling a product/service.

It's important that you are always present in their life and build a long-term relationship.

  • Always remember about the power of Social Networks! It's one of the simplest way to be present in your customers' life and it does not cost you anything. Keep in touch with them, offer help, be open for conversation and opinion, negotiations, interactions and relationships. Social Networks are here to build relationships and to socialize your customers. However, be aware that you should use the Social Network wisely and plan your actions. Take this opportunity to communicate and differentiate from your competition.
  • Do not underestimate the importance of the relationship marketing strategy in business. Just think about the long-term results it can give your company. Come on! It really doesn’t take much to treat customers well and make them happy. At the end of the day, your business depends on them , therefore they require a special treat. As a business, we can't live without income, so to build a business and to maintain it well, we should always think of enhancing it.

Interact, communicate, and establish long-lasting relationships with your customers and you will be surprised how your conversions improve over time!
